Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a pillar of American history, and we are proud to celebrate his legacy this Martin Luther King Day! 

GrowHealthy is committed to the pursuit of justice, equity, and equality for all people. We make up a community of neighbors, activists, allies, and supporters. We are listeners and doers in the movement towards a more just and equitable America. This effort starts by acknowledging, listening, and serving. 

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a call to all Americans to better serve their communities. Even just one person can have a significant impact on those around them. 

Last year, GrowHealthy has partnered with local food banks, the Last Prisoners Project, and the Florida Veterans Foundation. Thanks to your support, we have fed our neighbors, fought for racial justice and equality for those imprisoned for cannabis, and supported the women and men who have served our country.

2021 Food Drive

Last month, GrowHealthy dispensaries partnered with local community food shelters and donated thousands of food items! Our patients’ generosity helped feed hundreds of families. Partnerships such as these that directly impact our neighbors are of the utmost importance to GrowHealthy! One of the organizations we donated to wrote to us this week and said, “Providing food to those who are hungry is an extraordinary act of caring and generosity. Your willingness to assist the Harry Chapin Food Bank in the fight to end hunger is essential to fulfilling our mission.” We are so thankful for the bountiful donations given by our patients. We look forward to hosting more food drives in 2022!

Last Prisoners Project

GrowHealthy is an enthusiastic supporter of the Last Prisoners Project! This incredible organization is actively working to get people who are serving prison time for cannabis out of prison and back home to their families and their communities. Our patients readily donate in-person at our dispensaries, and every dollar goes towards helping cannabis-prisoners. Further, our patients participated in a state-wide letter writing campaign this past holiday season. Every post-card went directly to a prisoner, and these words of encouragement and support were treasured by those who received them. GrowHealthy cannot thank our patients enough for their continued effort in freeing these persons!

Florida Veterans Foundation

Beyond offering all veterans and their spouses a standing 30% discount off every order at GrowHealthy, we proudly support the Florida Veterans Foundation. As a partner, we help support over 1.5 million veterans living in Florida! The FVF provides direct support to veterans and aims to improve their physical, financial, mental, emotional, and social well-being. After all veterans have given to us, it is an honor to support them in this way.

Dr. King is a hope to us all – a hope for a better future and a call to do our part to achieve it.

Our promotion this weekend is our birthday celebration for Dr. King! Our continued service and partnerships with organizations that better Americans is our ongoing commitment to justice, equity, and equality.
